I baked this Vegan Orange Rolls for my sister’s summer party last weekend. The orange glaze gave it bright citrus, and my sister liked them.
Delicious Vegan Orange Rolls

These orange rolls are made with a soft, enriched dough that is filled with a mixture of orange zest, juice, and sugar, then rolled and baked until golden. The sweet citrus glaze drizzled on top enhances their flavor, making each bite a refreshing experience. This recipe serves 12 rolls.
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm almond milk (about 110°F)
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest (for glaze)
Instructions
- Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm almond milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it’s frothy.
- Make the Dough: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture and melted coconut oil. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 5-7 minutes).
- First Rise: Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
- Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, orange juice, and orange zest to create the filling mixture.
- Shape the Rolls: Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly over the surface, and then roll it up tightly from the long side. Cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
