I baked this Vegan Orange Chocolate Truffles for my book club last week. The orange gave them bright citrus flavor, and my aunt loved them.

These truffles feature a luscious filling made from melted dark chocolate and bright orange zest, rolled in cocoa powder or crushed nuts for an elegant finish. The recipe yields approximately 12 truffles and takes about 30 minutes, plus chilling time.

- 1/4 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 tablespoon orange juice

- Cocoa powder or crushed nuts for rolling
Instructions
- Melt Chocolate: In a microwave or double boiler, melt the dark chocolate with coconut milk until smooth.
- Add Flavors: Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Chill Mixture: Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes, or until it’s firm enough to scoop.
- Form Truffles: Use a small scoop or spoon to portion out the mixture and roll it into balls using your hands.
- Coat Truffles: Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or crushed nuts to coat completely.
- Chill Again: Place the coated truffles on a parchment-lined plate or tray and return them to the refrigerator to set for at least 15 minutes before serving.
