I made this Vegan Candied Almonds for my dad’s holiday dinner last month. The almonds stayed easy with cinnamon sugar, and my mom loved them.
Sweet and Crunchy Vegan Candied Almonds Recipe

These candied almonds are beautifully coated in a warm cinnamon and sugar blend, resulting in crunchy and fragrant bites. They are easy to prepare, taking about 15 minutes from start to finish, and can be used as a topping on desserts or enjoyed on their own.
Ingredients
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prep the Almonds: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cinnamon, water, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until melted and combined.
- Add Almonds: Add the raw almonds to the saucepan, stirring to coat them evenly in the sugar mixture.
- Candy the Almonds: Continue to cook the almond mixture, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes until the almonds are golden and the sugar has thickened.
- Bake: Spread the coated almonds onto the lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they’re crispy.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Enjoy as a snack or topping for your favorite vegan desserts.
