I made this Vegan Chocolate Mousse for my family’s Sunday brunch last month. The cocoa made it silky and light, and my friend said it was the best mousse.
With just a few simple ingredients, this mousse is not only easy to make but also delivers an indulgent experience, making it an excellent choice for a Vegan dessert or for impressing guests at dinner parties.
Delicious Plant-Based Chocolate Mousse

This vegan chocolate mousse is prepared using silken tofu and high-quality cocoa powder, resulting in a creamy and smooth texture that rivals traditional mousse. The recipe takes about 20 minutes to prepare and serves 4 people.
Ingredients
- 1 package (12 oz) silken tofu, drained
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional, for added richness)
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh berries or mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend the Tofu: In a blender or food processor, combine the drained silken tofu, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Melt the Chocolate: If using, melt the dairy-free chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
- Combine: Add the melted chocolate to the tofu mixture and blend again until fully incorporated and silky.
- Chill: Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and develop flavor.
- Serve: Once chilled, serve the mousse with fresh berries or mint leaves for garnish.
