This dessert features layers of rich chocolate made from cocoa powder, silken tofu, and maple syrup, creating a fluffy yet fudgy texture. The recipe serves 4 and can be made in just 20 minutes, plus chilling time.

Ingredients

  • 1 block (12 oz) silken tofu, drained
  • 1 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk or other plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips, for topping
  • Fresh berries or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Drain the silken tofu and place it in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend the Base: Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Dessert: Spoon the chocolate mixture into cups or small bowls, filling them about halfway. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  4. Add the Topping: Once set, sprinkle dairy-free chocolate chips on top of each dessert cup.
