Classic Vegan Tiramisu With Creamy Layers and Espresso Flavor

I made this Vegan Tiramisu for my family’s Sunday brunch last month. The espresso soaked the layers creamy, and my book club loved it.

Made with simple vegan-friendly ingredients like coconut cream, espresso, and ladyfinger alternatives, this tiramisu is both indulgent and satisfying. It’s great for entertaining guests or enjoying a sweet treat at home.

Delicious Layered Vegan Tiramisu

A stunning vegan tiramisu dessert with cocoa dusted cream layers, chocolate shavings, and ladyfingers.

This vegan tiramisu features layers of luscious coconut cream mixed with coffee and cocoa, creating a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. The recipe takes about 30 minutes to prepare and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk, refrigerated overnight
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dairy-free ladyfinger cookies or sponge cake
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Espresso: In a bowl, combine the brewed espresso, maple syrup, and coffee liqueur if using. Set aside to cool.
  2. Whip the Coconut Cream: Open the refrigerated coconut milk and scoop out the solidified cream into a mixing bowl, leaving the liquid behind. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer to whip until fluffy and creamy.
  3. Assemble the Tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, ensuring they soak but do not become overly soggy. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a dish.
  4. Add Cream Layer: Spread half of the whipped coconut cream over the ladyfingers, smoothing it into an even layer.
  5. Repeat Layers: Add a second layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining coconut cream.
  6. Chill the Dessert: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  7. Serve: Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings if desired.
