I made this Vegan Maple Donuts for my family’s Sunday brunch last month. The maple glaze gave it a rich fall flavor, and my aunt liked them.
Delicious Vegan Maple Donuts Recipe

These maple donuts are baked to perfection and topped with a rich, sweet glaze that embodies the flavors of fall. The recipe takes about 30 minutes from preparation to baking and yields 12 delicious donuts.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed mixed with 3 tablespoons water (flax egg)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1-2 tablespoons almond milk (for glaze, adjust for consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Mix Flax Egg: In a small bowl, combine ground flaxseed and water. Set aside to thicken.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix almond milk, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Stir in the flax egg once thickened.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fill the Pan: Spoon the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and almond milk until smooth. Adjust the milk to achieve your desired glaze consistency.
- Glaze the Donuts: Dip each cooled donut into the glaze or drizzle it on top. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
