Cozy Vegan Pear Crumble Bars With Warm Cinnamon Flavor

I made this Vegan Pear Crumble Bars for my coworker’s going-away party last month. The pears went soft with cinnamon, and my aunt liked them.

Warm Cinnamon Flavored Vegan Pear Crumble Bars

Vegan pear crumble bars with a crunchy topping, cut into squares, next to a warm cup of tea.

These bars boast a buttery oat crumble topping that complements the tender pear filling spiced with cinnamon. The recipe is easy to follow and takes about an hour to prepare and bake, yielding about 9 bars.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe pears, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Pear Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the chopped pears with lemon juice and set aside.
  3. Make the Crumble: In a separate mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted coconut oil, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg (if using). Stir until the mixture forms a crumbly texture.
  4. Assemble the Bars: Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Spread the pears evenly over the crust, then sprinkle the remaining crumble on top.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the bars cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy your cozy vegan dessert.
