I made this Vegan Blueberry Sweet Rolls for my family’s Sunday brunch last month. The blueberries stayed fresh in the filling, and my niece loved them.
With a fresh berry filling and a light, fluffy texture, these rolls are sure to impress. They can be served warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a drizzle of icing for an extra touch of sweetness.
Delicious Vegan Blueberry Sweet Rolls

These sweet rolls are filled with a generous amount of fresh blueberries, creating a burst of flavor in every bite. The dough is easy to work with and rises beautifully, making it a fun and rewarding baking project. This recipe serves about 12 rolls.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
- Vegan icing for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the almond milk, melted coconut oil, and maple syrup. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, gently toss fresh blueberries with lemon juice and set aside.
- Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, turn it onto a floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Add Filling: Spread the blueberries evenly over the dough, leaving a small border. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
- Cut the Rolls: Slice the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Second Rise: Cover the pan and let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar or drizzling with vegan icing, if desired.
